MOSFET requirements
This motor requires the following to work:
This motor will blow any MOSFET stack that is less than what is specified above.
Video of the plasmatomic in action
Here's a video of this motor in action, configured with neo magnets, 4 cells and a 15t pinion.
AUSMICRO.COM - Pics and video from the templestowe meet.
Here's another link showing this motor inaction, configured with the ferrite magnets and running in a Mini-Z madforce, the video is near the bottom of the thread.
AUSMICRO.COM - My 7.4V Li-poly Madforce.
Here's some video of my mr02-MM chassis on the speed checker. The setup was 12t pinion and this motor configured for ferrite magnets. It sounds like a plane taxing on a runway! lol....
AUSMICRO.COM - 72kph (45mph) on 4 cells......
I will get some video soon of this motor in action (setup with the ferrite magnets) in my MR02 at our templestowe track.
Tamiya Speed Checker comparison
I've done some testing comparing this motor with other motors on the Tamiya Speed Checker. I know the speed checker doesn't reflect the true "on-road" speed, but it's a good indicator nonetheless. Here's some initial results so far, I'll be updating this table as I continue to compare motors.
NOTE: in respect to the NML motor, I don't believe it's running correctly. I need to speak to NML about this.
Happy Modding!
Cheers,
